A fundraising campaign for the Aurora Foundation!
Each year, male community leaders come together to raise funds in support of the Aurora Foundation.
Will you be a leader for Hartford-area women and girls to finish college, develop leadership and financial literacy skills, and become work-ready? Together, we can breakdown barriers and improve the economic outlook for Hartford County women, families, and businesses.
Aurora funds programs for Hartford County women and girls that allow them to complete college, develop leadership skills, and overcome systemic obstacles. For example, the “Launch Your Leadership Journey” program at both Asnuntuck and Tunxis Community Colleges trains women to be future leaders on campus, in their careers and in the community. Tracey, a student from the program used her new skills to found a food pantry for all students on the Asnuntuck campus that now serves 300 students a month and is staffed entirely with student volunteers. Once these future leaders have the resources and tools they need, they put their new skills to work improving the community for all of us. Thank you for joining Team Aurora to make sure that women and girls succeed.
We’re excited to partner with Data-Mail and the Hartford Athletic soccer team and welcome Hartford Athletic Coach Jimmy Nielsen to be our special guest for the kickoff breakfast.
We have set an ambitious goal of raising $30,000, the highest amount raised by this campaign in its history. Funds will support Aurora’s efforts to educate, engage, and empower the community to address issues facing women and girls in our community.
RSVP to firstname.lastname@example.org, or 860-881-4926.
Free to register, attendees will be encouraged to donate that morning. Women are welcome to join us for an inspiring event!
